Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
3 John 1:2
What a beautiful way to start a morning, thinking of a dear friend. Seeing John writing to his dear friend, the words in this verse are the same that I pray for you. John is saying I care just as much about your physical health as your spiritual health – this is also my prayer for you. Having physical muscles are great because you can stay strong for the work that the Lord is calling you to do, but being spiritually strong is what has gotten me through my darkest times. I strongly encourage you to be in your Word daily, talk and pray to God and then listen to what He says back to you. Lean into Him and let Him strengthen you. Surround yourself with people who build you up in your faith and walk this journey called “life” with you. Find your Aaron and Hur. Basically, in Exodus 17, as long as Moses help up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. If the staff dropped, the Amalekites gained the advantage. When Moses’s arms became tired and could no longer hold up the staff, Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on and they held up his arms. Who is lifting up your arms and continually pointing you back to Jesus? I pray that over you dear friend. I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
