Rejoice in the Lord your God! For the rain he sends demonstrates his faithfulness. Once more the autumn rains will come, as well as the rains of Spring.”
Joel 2:23
Faithful! Faithful! Faithful! I cannot even think of another word after our reading on Friday (Hosea 6:3) and today’s verse. The title for this section of Joel 2:18-27 is The Lord’s Promise of Restoration. He is faithful y’all! He restores. Rejoice! This verse says it twice because of its importance to rejoice! The rain He sends demonstrates His faithfulness. I’m sure you know there is rain coming soon. We KNOW that it’s going to rain in the next year. For the rain He sends demonstrates His faithfulness. His faithfulness equals our restoration. Because God is truth, He cannot go back on His Word. Rejoice in Him! Rejoice knowing there is rain coming – rain restores the dry land. In the Bible, restoration is always in abundance. When something is restored, it is always better than it was to begin with. God’s promise to us is a better way, a better life, a better future for ourselves and our loved ones. Let His rain water your heart, soul and mind. Rejoice, Rejoice, He is faithful to restore whatever dry land you are in.
