These verses just put that unexplainable peace that only Jesus can give us into my heart and mind as I read them. “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today…The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” This is what Moses told the Israelites when they were in a battle and thought there was no way out! The Egyptians are coming after them! How are they going to escape? Where are they going to go? Can you even imagine what they were thinking? But God!! He made a way where it looked like there was no way! News flash! He’s the same God for you. Whatever battle you’re in right now, watch the Lord rescue you. The Lord himself will fight for you!! What’s the only requirement from us while the Lord is doing this for us? Don’t be afraid. Just stand still, watch and stay calm. May these words wash over you today with such an amazing peace, knowing the Lord is fighting for you in whatever you’re going through.
