But God made the earth by his power;

and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

New Year – Same God
I sit in the same spot every morning to read God’s Word and spend quiet time with Him. This morning I couldn’t stay in that spot after reading this verse. I went to my window to gaze at His creation made by His power.
In Jeremiah 10, we read He is the God of our life, the God of the universe, the One who created all things and is alive! All other things that the people were worshipping were false gods and dead idols. Can you think of something you turn to for advice, wisdom, or guidance instead of God?
I encourage you to read Proverbs 8:22-31 TLV, Wisdom Before Creation. God tells us wisdom was with Him before the world began and when He set the heavens in place. May we stop what we are doing, pause, and praise our Creator a little louder today. Let us thank Him with grateful hearts He is alive! May we inquire to the Lord who has all power, wisdom, and understanding.
It’s a new year, but He’s the Same God of Jeremiah and you.
