Everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit was willing came and brought Adonai’s offering
for the work of the Tent of Meeting and for all its service as well as for the holy garments.
New Year – Same God
I’d like to start us out in prayer, “Lord, please stir our hearts and give us a willing spirit to offer our work and our service to you and your house. Amen.” I started off with that prayer, because so many times I hear people say they have nothing to offer the church. God created you with specific talents that only YOU can fulfill for Him and His House. Have you ever had the Lord stir your heart? I have… to the point where I couldn’t sleep, because He was stirring me to do something. How about having the willing spirit to serve Him in a way you felt unqualified to serve? Two sweaty hands raised here. The words that jump out at me are the following: 1) whose heart stirred him 2) whose spirit was willing 3) came and brought Adonai’s offering 4) for all its service. What words jump out at you? I think of this verse, “Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body, and individually [you are] members of it [each with his own special purpose and function].” 1 Corinthians 12:27 AMP Tomorrow starts a new month. What a great day to ask the Lord to stir your heart and have a willing spirit, to bring your gifts and talents as an offering to our Lord for His service. Side note, any question I ask you to ask the Lord, I’m asking myself too. It’s a new year, but He’s the Same God.
